1) what constitutes a miniature book? 2) For the question of Rosenthal-Hatschek's work, I guess it matters more who is being celebrated in the painting? I'd argue if you name it, man in robe, people are going to pay a lot more attention to the artistry and the painter rather than the subject.

A miniature book is three inches in height, width, and thickness in the US, but the primary collector of miniature books in the Lilly's collection, Ruth Adomeit, preferred them even smaller. I'll take a photo when I'm back at work of the teeny tiny books we have on display. They're a fan favorite.

Your comment about Rosenthal-Hatschek reveals the main point that I was trying to make with the mega-series: what we name things sometimes belies or reveals what they are underneath. Naming is power!
